Man held with 96,000 Saudi riyal at Shahjalal

Customs Intelligence officials arrested a man along with 96,000 Saudi riyals at Hazrat Shahjalal (R) International Airport in Dhaka on Tuesday night. The arrestee was identified as Abdul Hannan Lavlu, a resident of Ramganj of Lakshmipur district. Sources at customs at the airport said tipped off, a customs intelligence team challenged Lavlu, who went to the airport in a bid to go to Malaysia by flight ‘MH 197’ of Malaysian Airlines, while he was crossing the boarding bridge of the airport around 12:10am. The customs officials searched his body and recovered the 96,000 Saudi riyals from his hand bag, according to UNB.
