Man held with arms in Laxmipur

Detective branch (DB) of police in a drive arrested a man with arms in front of Dhigali union Parisad office under sadar upazila of Laxmipur district on Friday. The arrestee was identified as M Shafik Hossain, 22, son of Abdul Mannan of Kalibritthi village under the upazila. On a tip-off, a team of DB police raided the area and arrested him with arms at around 1 pm yesterday, said sub inspector of sadar thana Abul Bashar. A case was filed in this connection, according to a news agency.
