Man held with firearm in Kushtia

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) personnel arrested a man along with a light gun and two rounds of bullet from Gobra Miapara in Kumarkhali upazila of Kustia district on early Friday. The arrestee was identified as Shamimuzzaman alias Mabud, 26, son of Jahir Mia of the village. Tipped off, a team of RAB-12 conducted a drive at the village around 2.00 am and arrested Shamimuzzaman and recovered an LG and two rounds of bullet from his possession. Shamimuzzaman has long been involved in arms trading, said RAB sources. A case was filed in this connection, according to a news agency.
