Man held with Indian Rs 5m at Shahjalal

A man was arrested with Indian Rs 5 million at Hazrat Shahjalal (RA) International Airport in the city this morning. The arrestee was identified by the Customs officials as Muhammad Idris, 35, a Bangladeshi national. He arrived at the airport from Pakistan by an Air Arabia flight. Customs intelligence men challenged him when he was heading towards the green channel after alighting from the Air Arabia plane in the morning, officials at the airport said. Customs intelligence officials detained him with Indian Rs 5 million when he was crossing the green channel of the airport at about 11am, according to a news agency.
