Man held with Yaba in city

Police arrested a young man in possession of 1,700 pieces of Yaba tablet at Kamalapur Railway Station in Dhaka city on Tuesday morning. The arrestee was identified as Elias Hossain, 22. Rafiqul Islam, sub-inspector of Kamalapur GRP Police Station said police challenged Elias, a passenger of intercity train ‘Turna-Nishita’ that had arrived from Chittagong, for his suspicious movement around 8:35 am. Later, the law enforcers recovered 1,700 pieces of the contraband drug after searching his body. A case was filed in this connection, according to a news agency.
