Man killed, 2 others injured in Sylhet crash

A man was killed and two other people of his family were injured as a minibus crashed into their CNG-run auto-rickshaw at Kashipur in Balaganj upazila of Sylhet on Tuesday evening. The deceased was identified as Abdul Khalek, 42, son of late Tabarak Ali of Khadeor village. Injured Chhoto Bibi, 65, deceased’s mother and Fahian, 12, his son were admitted to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital. Abdul Salek, officer-in-charge of Balaganj Police Station, said the Balaganj-bound minibus ran into the auto-rickshaw on the Tajpur-Balaganj road, leaving Khalek dead on the spot and the two injured. Police recovered the body and sent it to the hospital for autopsy. Police also arrested the bus driver, Amir Ali. A case was filed, according to UNB.
