Man killed by buffalo in Ctg

A man was killed and four other people were injured in an attack by a marauding buffalo in Bakalia area of Chittagong city on Friday night. The dead is Nurul Islam, 50, a carpenter and a resident of the area. Mohammad Mohsin, officer-in-charge of Bakalia Police Station, said the incident took place at Waziarpara around 9.00pm when a violent buffalo pouched on some people while they were going to the local mosque for prayers, leaving five of them injured. The injured were rushed to Chittagong Medical College Hospital where Islam succumbed to his injuries. The buffalo was being brought at Waziarpara by some local butchers to be slaughtered ahead of Eid, said police, according to BSS.
