Man killed in city road accident

A young man was killed as a BRTC bus knocked him down after crashed into a road divider in Farmgate area in the city on Monday. The bus was headed for Gulistan around 7am when it hurtled over the divider, said Tejgaon Police Station’s SI Shahida Akhter. The state-owned bus brought down the railing and whizzed over the divider after the driver lost control near Al-Razi Hospital. The unidentified victim, in his mid 20s, was hit and died on spot. Sub Inspector Shahida said that police arrested Indu Laskar the driver of the Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation’s bus, according to a news agency.
