Man killed in city road crash

A ma was killed in a road accident in Jatrabari area in the city on Tuesday morning. The deceased was identified as Ranjan, 45, who used to live in a rickshaw garage in Dhobal area in the city. Sub-inspector (SI) Idris Ali of Jatrabari Police Station said a sand-laden truck hit a rickshaw from behind in Jatrabari Chourasta (intersection) around 5:30am when Ranjan was traveling in the rickshaw. The SI said Ranjan was hit in the head and died on the spot. On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for autopsy, according to UNB.
