Man killed in clash in Sunamganj

A man was killed and at least 29 people were injured in a clash between two rival groups at Tarchuka village in Chhatak upazila in Sunamganj district on Sunday. The dead is Saheb Ali of the village. Sub-inspector Shafiq, in-charge of Jawabazar police camp, said the clash ensued between the villagers following a quarrel between two minor boys – Abu Sayeed, 9, son of Saheb Ali and Dulal, 10, son of Cherag Ali. At one stage of the altercation, members of both the families started throwing brickbats, leaving Saheb Ali dead on the spot. Being informed, police recovered the body and sent it to a local hospital for autopsy. A case was filed, according to a news agency.
