Man killed in Gazipur \\\'shootout\\\'

A man was killed in a reported ‘shootout’ between a gang of terrorists and Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) personnel in Haidarabad area of Gazipur city on Tuesday morning. The deceased was identified as Mamoon, a resident of Tongi town of Gazipur district. The law enforcers claimed that he was a terrorist killed in ‘gunfight’ with them Gazipur. Officer-in-charge of Joydebpur Police Station Khandakar Rezaul Hasan said the elite force took the bullet injured Mamoon to Gazipur Shahid Tajuddin Medical College Hospital where the on-duty doctor declared Mamoon dead early in the morning. The elite force also recovered a pistol from his possession. No details of the gunfight could be availed immediately, according to a news agency.
