Man kills 2 wives in Rangpur

A man allegedly killed his two wives over family dispute at Ruposhi village in Mithapukur upazila in Rangpur district on Thursday night. The dead are Momena Begum, 40, and Mokseda Begum, 37, two wives of Elias Miah of the village. Police and locals said that Momena and Mokseda locked in an altercation around 11:30pm. Fed up with their brawl, Elias attacked his two wives with an axe, leaving them seriously injured. Hearing screams of the victims, locals rushed to the spot and rushed them to a local hospital. However, they died on the way to the hospital. Being informed, police recovered their bodies and sent those to Rangpur Medical College Hospital for post mortem. They also arrested Elias, according to UNB.
