Man kills father-in-law in Sirajganj

A man has killed his father-in-law for allegedly filing a dowry case against him in Belkuchi Upazila in Sirajganj district. The incident took place on Tuesday night, said Belkuchi Police Station OC Abdul Hai Sarker. The killer, Ibrahim Hossain, 25, is absconding. The victim was identified as Shah Alam Molla, 50. Quoting locals, the OC said Ibrahim stabbed his father-in-law at a local market after a heated argument over filing of a case. Molla died on his way to hospital. Molla married off his daughter Kohinoor to Hossain four years ago with Tk 50,000 as dowry. Hossain demanded more dowry and used to often beat Kohinoor. Molla filed the case recently at the Sirajganj court, according to bdnews24.com.
