Man kills self after strangling wife to death

A carpenter killed self by hanging from the ceiling of his room after strangulating his wife to death over family feud in Bhaluka upazila in Mymensingh sometimes between Friday night and early morning Saturday. The deceased were identified as Khokon Mia, 28, a carpenter and son of Jalal Uddin, and his wife Sabina Begum, 20, a garment worker. Pradip, sub-inspector of Bhaluka Police Station, said getting no response from the house of the couple, neighbours informed police in the morning. Police rushed to the spot and found the body of Sabina lying on bed while that of Khokon hanging from the ceiling of their room at their residence located in Seedstore Bazar area. The law enforcers recovered the bodies and send those to a local hospital for autopsy. Police suspect that Khokon strangulated Sabina to death over some family feud first and then killed himself by hanging, according to UNB.
