Man kills sleeping wife, mother-in-law

RANGAMATI, Aug 02 (BSS): A man hacked to death his wife and mother-in-law due to family disputes when they were sleeping at their home at Kashkhali village in Kawkhali upazila of the district on Thursday night.
The dead are Fatema Akhtar (26) and her elderly mother Ayesha Khatun (61). They are residents of Kashkhali village in Kawkhali upazila of the district.
Police arrested the killer, Md Billal Hossain (35).
Rajeev Chandra Kar, officer-in-charge of Kaukhali thana, said due to a family disputes, the killer hacked to death his wife and mother-in-law when they were sleeping at their home.
Police recovered the bodies from the spot and sent to Rangamati General Hospital for post mortem, he said.
Md Ismail, brother of victim Fatema Akhter, filed a murder case with Kaukhali thana in this connection, the OC added.
