Man sentenced to death for killing wife

NETRAKONA, Mar 19 (UNB): A court Thursday sentenced a man to death for killing his wife in 2003.
The convict is identified as Badal Mia (30), of Setarampur village under Atpara Upazila. The court also fined him Tk 50,000.
According to the prosecution, Badal Mia following a family feud tortured his wife Pushpa Akhter on the night of September 4, 2003 and at one stage set her ablaze pouring kerosene on her body.
