Man shot dead in Khulna

A man was beaten and shot to death by some unidentified miscreants at Rahimnagar in Rupsha upazila of Khulna district on Wednesday night. The deceased was identified as Faruque Hossain Molla, 45, a receipt in-charge of Fresh Food Limited and son of Khaleque Molla, a resident of Rahimnagar village of the area. Police said some unidentified miscreants in an attack beat and shot Faruque at Rahimnagar village around 10:30pm when he was returning home from his workplace, leaving him critically injured. Later locals rushed him to Khulna Medical College Hospital where duty doctors declared him dead. Officer-in-charge of Rupsha police station Mesba Uddin confirmed the incident, according to a news agency.
