Man slaughtered in C\\\'nawabganj

Miscreants tortured a man and dumped his body beside Chapainawabganj-Rajshahi highway at Haripur in Chapainawabganj town at some time between Sunday night and Monday morning. Local people found the slaughtered body of the unidentified man, aged around 45, on Monday morning and informed police who recovered the body and sent it to a local hospital. Sarwar Jahan, sub-inspector (SI) of Sadar Police Station, said locals spotted the body lying beside the highway at about 8:00 am and informed police. The body was sent to a hospital for autopsy, the SI said. He suspected that miscreants killed the man elsewhere and dumped the body there. A case was filed, according to a news agency.
