Man slaughters his daughter

In a shocking incident, a young girl was slaughtered by her father at Baddipur colony at Satkhira Sadar Upazila on Sunday afternoon. The deceased was identified as Kamrunnahar, 18, daughter of Matiur Rahman of the area. Victim’s younger sister Kariman said Kamrunnahar was married off to a man hailing from Savar Upazila in Dhaka district six months back. However, they got separated recently. Kamrunnahar used to engage in altercation with her father after her separation. The girl engaged in an altercation with her father over the issue on Sunday afternoon. At one stage, Matiur slaughtered her and went into hiding, said Kariman, according to a news agency.
