Man slays wife, cuts her body into 6 pieces

A housewife has been killed allegedly by her husband over family dispute in Gazipur. Police recovered the body China Islam, 27, cut into six pieces and kept in a bag and two sacks, from her residence in Naljani area of Gazipur city on Tuesday morning. She was the wife of Riazul Islam, a resident of Boirat village of Pangsha upazila of Rajbari district. Quoting neighbours, police said an altercation ensued between Riazul and China over a family feud on Monday night. At one stage, Riazul strangulated her to death and cut the body into six pieces. He later concealed the body parts in a bag and two sacks. Being informed, police recovered the body parts around 6:00 am today and sent those to Gazipur Sadar Hospital for an autopsy. Riazul was arrested, according to UNB.
