Man stabbed dead in city

A man was stabbed to death by miscreants at Dakhkhin Manda at Mugda in the city early Thursday. The deceased was identified as Shahidul Islam, 50, a printing press worker and son of Akkas Ali, resident of house no 537, Dakhkhin Manda. Quoting the victim’s family members, Sub-inspector Nurul Islam of Mugda Police Station said Shahidul came under attack by a gang of miscreants while he was returning home from his workplace around 2:45am. Miscreants stabbed Shahidul near his residence indiscriminately, leaving him critically injured. Hearing the scream of Shahidul, local people and the family members rescued him and took him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where he succumbed to his injures around 3:30am, according to UNB.
