Man stabbed dead in C\\\'nawabganj

A man was stabbed to death by unidentified miscreants on Argarahat-Gomostopur road in Kocchyaduba area of Shibpur upazila of Chapainawabganj on Monday night. The deceased was identified as Mozaffor Hossain, 45, son of Wazed Ali, a resident of Ekhlaspur village of the upazila. Police quoting witnesses said a gang of miscreants intercepted Mozaffor around 8pm in the area while he was going to Gomostopur on a motorbike. Later, the miscreants stabbed him indiscriminately, leaving him dead on the spot. On information, police recovered his body on Tuesday morning and sent it to Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy. They also recovered the bike and his mobile phone from the spot. Firoz Ahmmed, officer-in-charge of Gomostopur Police Station, confirmed the incident, according to a news agency.
