Man strangled to death \\\'over wife\\\'s extra-marital affair\\\'

A man was strangulated to death allegedly over his wife’s extra-marital affair at Chalisia village in Abhaynagar upazila in Jessore on Saturday night. The deceased was identified as Selim Sheikh, 40, a resident of the village. Molla Khabiruddin, officer-in-charge of Abhaynagar Police Station, said police recovered the body of Selim from a road in the village around 8pm and sent it to Jessore Medical College Hospital for autopsy. Selim’s wife was arrested in this connection, he said. Police is conducting drives to arrest another suspect in the murder, named Moti, he added, according to UNB.
