Man, woman held with arms in Pabna, Joypurhat

PABNA, June 29 (UNB): Police arrested an alleged robber along with a revolver from Beniapotti area in Sadar upazila early Monday.
The arrested was identified as Murad Hossain (22), son of Iqbal Hossain, a resident of Shalgaria area of the district town.
Officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station Ahsanul Haque said a patrol team of police arrested Murad along with a revolver and four rounds of bullets when he was taking preparation to commit a robbery.
Another report from Joypurhat adds: Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested a woman along with a pistol and one round of bullet from Pagla Dewan border area of Sadar upazila on Monday morning.
The arrestee was identified as Suraiya Khatun (25), wife of Jahangir Hossain, a resident of Rupayunpur village in the area.
Lt Col Abdur Razzak Torofdar, commanding officer of BGB battalion-3 said on secret information, a patrol team of BGB conducted the drive in the area and arrested the woman around 6am along with a pistol and one round of bullet.
