Mancha brings out procession hailing Mujahid verdict

Ganajagaran Mancha, the Shahbagh-based platform demanding death to all war criminals, brought out a procession in Shahbagh-Dhaka University campus area creating traffic congestion in the area on Tuesday. Led by Imran H Sarkar, Ganajagaran Mancha, the platform founded by bloggers on February 5, 2013, a out the procession from Dhaka University and paraded different streets of the the DU campus and Shahbagh Intersection from morning to afternoon. They brought out the ‘victory’ procession celebrating Jamaat-e-Islami leader Ali Ahsan Muhammad Mujahid’s death verdict pronounced by the Supreme Court today. Almost all the thoroughfares of the area were virtually clogged due to traffic congestion after Mancha activists brought out the procession. Vehicles were stranded for one hour in Shahbagh, Elephant Road, Hatirpool, Paribagh, Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh, Matsya Bhaban, Ramna, Nilkhet and High Court areas. Passengers remained stuck in the traffic snarl for about one hour, according to a news agency.
