Mannan Khan granted bail in graft case

A Dhaka court granted on Sunday bail to former State Minister for Housing and Public Works Abdul Mannan Khan until October 13 in a corruption case filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) against him for acquiring wealth illegally, reports UNB.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Imdadul Haque passed the order after Mannan surrendered before the court and sought bail in the case.
Earlier, on August 21, ACC filed a case against former State Minister Abdul Mannan Khan.
In the case, ACC said Abdul Mannan illegally earned wealth worth Tk 7.5 million and canceled the information of wealth worth Tk 0.46 million in his wealth report submitted to the Commission on April 9 in 2014.
