Mansur new SEC member

The government has appointed Mansur Alam a member of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for a three-year term.
Alam earlier served as executive director of the SEC since November 19,1997, said a notification of the establishment ministry of the government.
Alam is the first SEC official to be promoted as a member of the stock market regulatory body since its inception in 1993.
Prior to joining the SEC in 1993 as deputy director, he served in the Bangladesh Shilpa Rin Sangstha (BSRS) and ministry of public works and urban development.
