Manzur murder verdict delayed

The verdict on the 1981 murder of Major General Muhammad Abul Manzur will not be delivered on February 10 as the judge of the court has been transferred. State counsel Asaduzzaman Khan Rothi on Tuesday told bdnews24.com that arguments, cross-examinations and hearing in the case will start again as a new judge has been appointed at the First Additional District and Sessions Judge Court. Judge Khandaker Hasan Mahmud Firoz has replaced Judge Hosney Ara Aktar, said Rothi, an Additional Public Prosecutor. Aktar’s transfer order was issued on January 29.
