Marginal increase in DSE turnover

Stock prices remained mixed on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) Monday amid marginal increase in the turnover.
The turnover increased to Tk 1.532 billion from Tk 1.531 billion on the previous day.
Market sources said the institutional investors are showing enthusiasm and it is creating the buying spree on the DSE.
On Monday's trading session, All Shares Price Index or DSI declined by 8.023 points to close at 1677.939.
But, DSE-20 Index or DS20 and DSE General Index or DGEN increased by 5.509 points and 1.859 points to close at 1816.099 and 2047.214 respectively Monday.
Out of 201 traded issues, prices of 134 gained, 54 declined and 13 remained unchanged Monday.
Summit Power was the top turnover leader with trading issues worth Tk 132.195 million followed by Power Grid at Tk 104.980 million, Southeast Bank at Tk 92.938 million, BRAC Bank at Tk 89.208 million, Prime Bank at Tk 81.031 million, Heidelberg Cement at Tk 70.983 million, National Credit and Commerce (NCC) Bank at Tk 68.665 million, Arab Bangladesh (AB) Bank at Tk 65.143 million, Square Pharma at Tk 55.898 million and Grameen One at Tk 52.271 million.
Prices of Summit Power gained 2.85 per cent to close at Tk 929.00 per share, Southeast Bank by 0.83 per cent at Tk 455.00, Heidelberg Cement by 2.21 per cent at Tk 1082.25, NCC Bank by 6.81 per cent at Tk 309.50, Grameen One by 6.65 per cent at Tk 43.30, Dutch Bangla Bank Limited (DBBL) by 9.57 per cent at Tk 2786.75, Saiham Textile by 15.92 per cent at Tk 65.50, Ashraf Textile by 10.22 per cent at Tk 9.70, Aziz Pipes by 20.86 per cent at Tk 140.50, Legacy Footwear by 12.50 per cent at Tk 4.50 and Lexco by 11.45 per cent at Tk 63.25.
Prices of Power Grid declined by 1.37 per cent to Tk 593.00, BRAC Bank by 0.52 per cent to Tk 717.00, Prime Bank by 0.62 per cent to Tk 790.52, AB Bank by 4.54 per cent to Tk 1408.25 and Square Pharma by 0.52 per cent to Tk 3715.00.
The total market capitalisation declined to Tk 453.345 billion Monday from Tk 455.130 billion on the previous day.
In response to a query, IFIC Bank has informed that there is no undisclosed price sensitive information of the Bank.
