Marico announces winners of product innovation contest

Team Jinxed becomes champion

The grand finale of Marico Bangladesh Limited's flagship campus-based product innovation competition, Over The Wall Season 4, was recently held in Dhaka, where Team Jinxed from Bangladesh University of Professionals was crowned the champion of this year's edition.
Launched under the theme 'Innovate with Impact', this season continued its mission of empowering youth to develop meaningful, practical, and innovation-driven solutions that inspire positive change in the personal care industry, says a press statement.
This year saw the highest participation in the history of the competition, with more than 6,000 registrations from over 45 campuses across Bangladesh. Following multiple competitive rounds featuring idea submission, development, and mentorship, six finalist teams presented their outstanding concepts at the grand finale, offering forward-thinking solutions that combined technology, sustainability, and creative business strategy.


The Team Oops We Tried from Islamic University of Technology was named First Runner-up, while Team The Lannisters from University of Dhaka secured the Second Runner-up position.
All three winning teams received an attractive prize pool from Marico Bangladesh Limited.
The Champion team will receive an international internship opportunity at one of Marico Limited's global offices, continuing the legacy of last year's winners who interned at Marico Malaysia.
The First and Second Runner-up teams will also be offered internships at Marico Bangladesh Limited. In addition to that, all three finalist teams will represent Bangladesh at the Global Grand Finale in December.
The final round was evaluated by a panel of industry leaders including Sumitava Basu, Managing Director, Marico Bangladesh Limited; Khandker Swanan Shahriar, Managing Director, Keymakers Consulting Ltd; and M H M Fairoz, Managing Director, Singer Bangladesh Ltd.
