Marico IPO refund warrants, allotment letters to be distributed from Sep 1

Marico Bangladesh Limited (MBL) Saturday held a lottery for allotment of shares at city’s Bangabandhu International Conference Center (previously known as Bangladesh China Friendship Conference Center).
MBL has, through this lottery, allotted 29,97,750 ordinary shares to General Public, NRBs and Mutual Funds and 152,250 shares to its employees, said a press release.
Refund warrants of unsuccessful applicants and allotment letters will be distributed from September 1 to September 5 at Dhaka Zila Krira Sangstha and AGB Colony Community Center.
The issue was oversubscribed by more than 11 times when the subscription closed on August 10 last.
A special doa was performed at the inception of the lottery programme for the salvation of the departed soul of the son of DSE President Mr. Rakibur Rahman.
Mr. Debashish Neogi, Managing Director of Marico Bangladesh Limited chaired the lottery programme.
Mr. Arif Khan, Deputy Managing Director of IDLC Finance Limited and Mr. Saiful Islam, Director of Equity Partners Limited and Senior Vice President of Dhaka Stock Exchange Limited (DSE) represented the Issue Managers. Representatives from DSE Listing department, CSE, SEC and ICB also attended the programme.
The BRTC of BUET conducted the Lottery.
Mr. Debashish Neogi said "We are thankful for the co-operation extended by SEC, DSE and CSE. " He referred Marico as a GLOCAL company. He said, "We believe in the principle of Think Global and Act Local."
Mr. Arif Khan and Mr. Saiful Islam also offered vote of thanks to all investors for making the IPO successful.
