Marico launches new edible oil brand

Marico Bangladesh Ltd launched its new edible oil brand in the market -- Saffola Gold- a unique blended vegetable oil made of Safflower Seed oil and Rice Bran oil that assures healthy living.
First of its kind in edible oil category in the country, the new product was formally launched on Friday in a launching ceremony at a local hotel.
Promising variety of special features to its consumers, Saffola Gold claimed to help controlling cholesterol and heart related diseases.
Saffola Gold contains Oryzanol which is know to be effective in reducing cholesterol levels, managing director of Marico Bangladesh Rishi Pardal said while addressing at the launching ceremony.
Saffola Gold comes with LOSORB Technology, due to which oil gets absorbed less in cooked food and it is 'Trans fat' free, Mr Pardal elaborated.
Non-Communal Diseases Forum (NCD-F)-an organisation representing leading cardiologists, dialectologist, nutrients and hygiene experts has given their seal of recommendation for Saffola Gold.
Top members of the forum were present at the launching ceremony in order to express solidarity to the newly launched edible oil brands announced slogan -Listen to Your Heart.
Head of Marketing of Marico Bangladesh Soumendra S Das and Head of Sales Kunal Gupta were also present on the launching ceremony.
Marico Bangladesh Limited (MBL) holds a leadership position in the FMCG space, it is the subsidiary of Marico Limited, India (Marico). The company's products in Pure Coconut oil, Hair care and Skin Care reach out to more than 450,000 outlets in Bangladesh. MBL generated a turnover of about Tk. 2650 Million during 2007-08.
