Marine Safety Week of CPA begins

CHATTOGRAM, May 22: The Marine Safety Week of Chittagong Port Authority (CPA) began on Sunday.
Member (Harbour and Marine) of CPA Commodore Mohammed Mostafijur Rahman inaugurated the programme of Marine Safety Week as chief guest on the CPA office premises. Deputy Conservator of CPA Captain Faridul Alam addressed the inaugural function as special guest while Assistant Harbour Master Md Mustahidul Islam moderated it.
Addressing the function, Commodore Mohammed Mostafijur Rahman said, "Trained manpower and safe vessels will provide the marine safety. So, we need training, life jackets and life-saving equipment in our ships."
The Marine Safety Week '22, CPA will display the safety measures in the port territory and provide training to the officials concerned.
