Mariner killed in Chittagong

A Syrian mariner was killed while anchoring ship at Chittagong Port this on (Friday) morning. The victim was identified as Abdur Rahim, 25, a mariner of Syrian ship of MV Marikana. He hailed from Syria, a Middle Eastern country. Pangkaj Barua, Sub-Inspector of Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) police outpost, said Abdur Rahim was critically injured after falling off crane while anchoring the ship at Chittagong Port arund 5.00am. he was rescued and whisked off to the hospital where doctors declared him dead after admission, according to a news agency.
