Market expansion emphasised for Bangladeshi goods in Russia

Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Bangladesh Dr. Gennedy P Trotsenko called on Mahmudul Islam Chowdhury, president of the International Business Forum of Bangladesh (IBFB) and former mayor of Chittagong City Corporation, at the latter's residence in Chittagong recently.
They discussed various issues of bilateral trade between Bangladesh and the Russian Federation, says a press release.
While thanking the ambassador, Mr. Chowdhury requested him to extend necessary cooperation for further augmentation of the existing bilateral relations between the two friendly countries.
On behalf of IBFB, Mr. Chowdhury also assured total support to the embassy of the Russian Federation in this regard. He emphasised expanding the market for Bangladeshi goods in Russia.
The ambassador reiterated the bond of friendship that happily exists between the two countries and assured that it would continue during his term as ambassador.
Later, Mr. Chowdhury hosted a lunch in honour of the Russian envoy also attended by the Assistant High Commissioner of India in Chittagong and the prominent business leaders of the port city.
