Markets recover from day's low

MUMBAI, May 11 (Business Standard): Markets have started to recover from their lows. The Sensex is now down just 98 points at 17,232. Earlier in the day, the index had touched a low of 17,114.
The Nifty is down 31 points at 5162.
Markets had opened today on a soft note tracking Asian peers. This came after a more than 3 per cent rise on monday owing to a bailout package for Greece.
The BSE metal index is down 1.5 per cent at 16,668. Realty and power indices are also weak.
Reliance Communications has dropped 3 per cent to Rs 150. Bharti Airtel has dropped 2 per cent to Rs 288.
Reliance Infrastructure and DLF have dropped around 2 per cent each at Rs 1035 and Rs 298, respectively.
Metal stocks are in red. Hindalco has declined 2.5 per cent to Rs 171. Sterlite and Tata Steel have slipped 1.7 per cent each to Rs 742 and Rs 592, respectivey.
Grasim, ONGC, Cipla, TCS, BHEL and Reliance are down.
