Markets, shopping mall owners advised to install close circuit cameras

The law enforcement agencies have suggested the authorities concerned to install close circuit (CC) cameras at of markets, supermarkets, shopping malls, commercial complex and other strategic points of the city to prevent crimes during the holy month of Ramadan ahead of the Eid-ul-Fitr. Inspector General of Police (IGP) AKM Shahidul Haque told the reporters on Monday afternoon that the law enforcers will work to ensure additional security to people during Holy Ramadan and Holy Eid-ul-Fitr. On extortion, he vowed to punish the criminals saying that he had already talked to the vehicle and vessel owners, who assured him of all possible cooperation. He said police will work to ease traffic congestion. The police boss also requested people to be aware about miscreants such as snatchers and ‘malam party’ (dope party), according to a news agency.
