Mashrafe bin Mortaza has been appointed the captain of Bangladesh’s national cricket team. The decision was announced following a meeting of the BCB held at the BCB headquarters in the city on Tuesday afternoon. Mashrafe will replace Mushfiqur Rahim, who was the wicketkeeper-captain of the team which has had lean patch under him in both longer and shorter versions of the game in the last one year, particularly the debacle during Bangladesh’s tour of West Indies, according to private TV channels.
