Master plan for Mongla seaport suggested

A parliamentary standing committee on Wednesday recommended the Shipping Ministry to prepare a master plan for turning Mongla seaport into a modern and developed one. It also suggested the ministry to take necessary steps to construct a highway and an airport in Mongla. The Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Shipping Ministry made the recommendations at its 4th meeting held at Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban with its chairman Maj (retd) Rafiqul Islam in the chair, according to a news agency.
