Matin’s call to stop launch, steamer overloading

Communications Adviser MA Matin Monday ordered the concerned agencies to check overloading of passenger launches and steamers on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr from October 10 to October 20, reports UNB.
"Most of the river accidents occurred in the past due to overloading. Each river vehicle has specific load line for measuring overload. I have ordered the respective departments to monitor load lines to ensure safe travel," he told reporters after a meeting on riverine transportation management on the eve of Eid in his Ministry.
