Matiur Rahman elected BTMA Director

Chairman and Managing Director of Uttara Group of Companies Matiur Rahman has been elected a director of the Bangladesh Textile Mills Association (BTMA) unopposed for the terms of 2023-24 and 2024-25, says a press release.
Mr. Rahman is actively involved in various social activities alongside his business endeavors. He is also the President of the Bangladesh Motorcycle Assemblers & Manufacturers Association (BMAMA). He was the Director and Vice President of the Chittagong Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Rahman has served successfully as the president of the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry in 2002 and 2003.
He also served as the founding president of the Japan-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industries from 2004 to 2006.
The Japanese government honoured him with the 'Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette' award for his outstanding contribution to strengthening economic cooperation between Bangladesh and Japan.
