Matlab High School Old Students\\\' Assoc gets new committee

Engineer Salimuddin and Hasan Imam have been elected president and secretary respectively of a 29-member executive committee of Matlabganj JB High School Old Students' Association, Dhaka for two-year term, said a press release.
They were elected at the general meeting of the association at the National Press Club in the city Saturday.
Former president of the association senior photojournalist Zahirul Hoque presided over the meeting while former vice-chancellor of BUET Dr Abdul Matin Patwary attended the meeting as the chief guest.
The meeting was addressed, among others, by Prof Dr Golam Rasul, former director of PG Hospital, major general (rtd) Mukhlesur Rahman, former additional secretary Fazlul Hoque, Dr Nurul Islam, Journalist Faruk Ahmed, Director of BIDL, Ispahani Group, Engineer Monir Hossain Pathan, Prof Zakir Hossain Zamal and Deputy Secretary Zakir Hossain Kamal.
Earlier, stipend money were distributed among 26 talent students of Matlab High School who secured distinguished marks in the last SSC examinations.
