Maximum govt facilities for Hajj pilgrims: Officials

The government has taken steps for ensuring maximum facilities, better management and providing training for the Hajj pilgrims to assist them in conducting the religious ritual in a hassle-free manner. High officials have said this at the concluding ceremony of a daylong ‘Inspiring Hajj Pilgrims and Training Workshop’, organised by Islamic Foundation, Bangladesh (IFB), at its divisional office auditorium in Rangpur city on Saturday evening. With Deputy Director of the Local Government for Rangpur Ershadul Haque in the chair, Joint Secretary (Hajj, Grants & Organisations) of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Alhaj Hassan Jahangir Alam attended the workshop as the chief guest. Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Hajj Office) Md Mizanur Rahman and its Deputy Secretary (Hajj) Mohammad Jahangir Alam were present as the special guests. A total of 200 Hajj pilgrims, who are expecting to perform Hajj this year in Saudi Arabia under official managements, participated in the training workshop. Former religious teacher of Rangpur Zila School Alhaj Mofidul Islam Chowdhury took part as the main resource person and discussed the necessary preparations, 'Arkans' and 'Ahkams' in conducting the Hajj rituals properly. Deputy Director of IFB for Rangpur Alhaj Saidur Rahman Sayeed delivered the welcome speech narrating the facilities and assistance being provided to the official Hajj pilgrims by the government, according to BSS.
