Maya asks party men to be ready to face BNP after Eid

Minister for Disaster Management and Relief Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya urged the party leaders and activists Friday to be alert to face the movement called by the Bangladesh Nationalist Party BNP after Eid-ul-Fitr, reports BSS.
"The BNP-Jamaat will organise for movement after the Eid, so we have to be prepared and united to face the so- called movement", the minister said.
Maya made this appeal to the leaders and activists of the ruling party and its front organisations when he was addressing as the chief guest a discussion meeting, arranged by Bangladesh Jatiya Jubo Parishad held at the central office of Awami League (AL) in the city.
Awami League Office Secretary Shahidul Islam Milon, publicity and publication secretary Abdul Haq Sabuj, among others, spoke at the discussion while Bangladesh Jatiya Jubo Parishad chairman Masud Khan Babu presided over the meeting.
The disaster management minister told the function, 'If BNP announces positive and constructive political activities, government will co-operate with them. Otherwise they (BNP-Jamaat) have to suffer for their way of violence like they had before in the name of movement, the minister added.
Maya, also the general secretary of Awami League Dhaka city unit said, "we are waiting for the movement of BNP.
The local and foreign evil forces are continuously being engaged with the conspiracy to foil the development and democracy in the country, the minister said adding that "whatever their conspiracies, there would be held no general election in the country before 2019 as we will protect the directives of the constitution".
