Maya's son gets 3 yrs RI

A special court trying the high-profile corruption suspects Thursday sentenced Sajedul Hossain Chowdhury Dipu, son of former state minister Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya, to three years rigorous imprisonment (RI) for non-submission of his wealth statement to the Anti-corruption Commission (ACC). Delivering the judgment, the court also fined the fugitive Dipu to pay Tk 0.5 million, or, in default, to serve one year more in jail. — UNB
