Mayaudon to replace William Hanna

The European Union has picked up the deputy head of its Pakistan mission to replace the head of its Bangladesh mission. Pierre Mayaudon, who has an extensive diplomatic and defence background in the French administration, will replace William Hanna, an Irish diplomat. The new appointment has been announced on the EU's website. However, it was not clear when the new ambassador would join. Hanna was appointed in Dhaka in Sep 2010.
