Mayhem kills schoolgirl

DINAJPUR, Jan 1 (UNB): A schoolgirl was crushed under the wheels of a truck at Bhushibandar in Chirirbandar Upazila Sunday night.
The deceased was identified as Ratna Das (10), student of class V and daughter of Raoshani Babu of Gandur village in the same upazila.
Police said Ratna died on the spot when a speeding truck ran over her while she and her father were crossing the road.
Local people seized the truck but the driver managed to flee the spot. A case was filed in this connection.
