Mayor Nasir for introducing metro rail in port city

Chattogram city Mayor A J M Nasiruddin has stressed on introducing metro rail (MRT) in the port city which will have to cope with the movement of 1.5 million (15 lakh) more people after the implementation of Bangabandhu Silpanagar at Mirsarai and Anowar Economic Zones, reports BSS.
The new master plan of Chattogram Development Authority (CDA) would require to identify the areas of metro rail, Nasir told the coordination meeting on the CDA Expressway and Chattogram Metro Rail at Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) conference room.
