M'bazar, Bogura, C'nawabganj road accidents kill four

A total of four people were killed in separate road accidents in Moulvibazar, Bogura and Chapainawabganj districts on Sunday night, reports BSS.
In Moulvibazar, at least two persons were killed and three other injured when a truck collided head on with a CNG driven auto-rickshaw at Shahpur area under Kulaura on Sunday night.
"The victims including the auto driver died on the spot as the speeding truck hit the small vehicle which was coming from its opposite direction moving toward Tilagaon at 8.30 pm, " said officer in charge (OC) of Kulaura police station Abdus Saleque.
The deceased identified as Liaquat Sarker hailed from Lahrajpur under Tilagaon union and auto-driver Mohram Mia of Mobarrakpur.
A fire fighting team of Kulaura recovered the bodies from the spot.
The other three critically injured were rushed to Kulaura health complex.
In Bogura, a motorcyclist was killed in a road accident on the Dhaka-Rangpur highway in front of Matidali SOS School in Sadar upazila on Sunday night.
The deceased was identified as Minhaj, 21, son of Rana Mia, a resident of Kukruil area under Nungola union of the upazila.
The accident occurred in the area when a Kurigram-bound passenger bus of AR Travels from Dhaka hit the motorcycle around 10pm, leaving its rider Minhaj dead on the spot, sub-inspector (SI) of Sadar Police Station Russell Mia said.
Police recovered the body and handed over it to the family members, he said.
A case was filed in this connection, he added.
In Chapainawabganj, a man was killed in a road mishap on Sheikh Hasina bridge area under sadar upazila in the district on Sunday.
The victim was Md Mofazzal Hossain, 42, son of late Jasim Uddin of Masjidpara in Chapainawabganj municipality.
Police said the accident took place at around 2 pm as a trolley hit a three-wheeler from behind injuring Mofazzal seriously.
He was rushed to the Chapainawabganj sadar hospital where he succumbed to his injuries under treatment.
