Md Arfanul Hoque new chairman of Petrobangla

Additional Secretary Md. Arfanul Hoque has joined Bangladesh Oil, Gas & Mineral Corporation (Petrobangla) as its chairman on deputation recently.
Mr Hoque served as the additional secretary in the Energy and Mineral Resources Division before taking over as chairman of Petrobangla.
He belongs to the 18th batch of Bangladesh Civil Service (Administration) cadre and joined on 25 January 1999. During his long and versatile career, he served as First Class Magistrate, Assistant Commissioner (Land), Upazila Nirbahi Officer in field administration.
He also served in the Ministry of Education, ICT Division, Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, and Ministry of Public Administration in different prestigious positions.
He did his master's degree from the Department of International Relations of the University of Dhaka and did his second master's degree in International Relations from WASEDA University, Tokyo, Japan.
He has sought co-operation from all in performing his duties and responsibilities smoothly.
